Aker's acquisition of Det norske shares approved
The Norwegian Competition Authority has approved Aker's acquisitionof an additional five million shares in the oil company Det norskefrom DNO International. The parties agreed to this share acquisitionon 12 October 2009 and the transaction will be completed todayfollowing the Competition Authority's approval.
Once the share acquisition is concluded, Aker will own 21 177 752shares in Det norske, corresponding to 32.6 percent of Det norskeshares and voting rights,
Aker Exploration and Det norske decided to merge at the shareholders'meetings of the two companies held 19 October 2009. As a result ofthe acquisition and current holdings in the two companies, Aker'sownership percentage in the merged company will be 40.45 percent.
