Reduced risk and solid foundation for greater value creation (07.05.2010)
Aker has reduced its portfolio risk and strengthened its foundation for future value creation. In the first quarter of 2010, both rigs belonging to Aker’s wholly owned subsidiary, Aker Drilling, entered operations for the oil companies Statoil and Det norske. The rigs generate stable revenue streams. Aker’s net asset value (NAV) increased by NOK 0.9 billion in the first three months of the year to NOK 20.4 billion (excluding allocations for dividend payments) or NOK 281.70 per Aker share.

Value growth, higher dividend (25.02.2010)
Aker’s net asset value (NAV) amounted to NOK 19.5 billion at year-end 2009, up NOK 1 billion from 31 December 2008. NAV expresses the underlying value of Aker ASA and companies in its holding company structure. NAV amounted to NOK 269 per Aker ASA share at year-end 2009.

Aker Holding owners sign supplementary agreement (25.01.2010)
Following a renewed review of the June 2007 shareholder agreement, the owners of Aker Holding AS have agreed on supplementary terms that detail how transactions with closely related parties are to be handled in the future. The supplementary agreement will be signed today.

Aker Spitsbergen enters operations (25.01.2010)
During the weekend, Aker Spitsbergen left Norway’s Klosterfjorden in Sunnhordland community, for field deployment in the Norwegian Sea. The advanced drilling rig arrived on site Monday morning, ready for drilling and well operations at the Halten Nordland region, where Statoil is the operator.

Minister seeks offshore license termination (22.01.2010)
In a letter to Aker, Ghana’s Minister of Energy asserts that the company’s offshore exploration and development license in Ghana is invalid. Aker does not see any foundation for such an assertion.

Aker Barents to shore (20.01.2010)
The Aker Barents drilling rig is in the week ending January 24 expected to arrive at the yard in Ølen on the west coast of Norway,. The rig will remain at Ølen for four to six weeks for repair work and equipment installation.
